About the Class Experience . . .

Join others who work with clients around money to establish a formal mindfulness practice that will inform how you are and who you are when meeting the stories, emotions, and strong opinions of your clients, as well as when working with your team. Much of the course is rooted in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, however unlike MBSR, in this course we will discuss the intra- and interpersonal challenges you face in your work. 71% of financial advisors report experiencing moderate to high stress (Janus 2019). Learn about what stress really is and learn scientifically-validated practices for improving subjective well-being, decreasing anxiety, and increasing resilience and adaptability. Experience a different kind of listening, and even a different kind of speaking. This entirely confidential environment of self-care requires prioritizing the time, both in class, and for home practice (15 minutes/day for the entire time). It does include some movement (sitting qi gong and mindful walking the length of a yoga mat). There is a mini-retreat of 3.5 hours, during which we will do guided practices, with you in silence, for three hours. This class meets on THURSDAYS, from 11am-12:15pm, EASTERN on the following dates: Week 1 - January 13 Week 2 - January 20 Week 3 - January 27 Week 4 - February 3 Week 5 - February 10 Week 6 - February 17 Week 7 - February 24 RETREAT on February 26 - 10am, ET-1:30pm, ET Week 8 - March 3 NOTICE THERE ARE 9 SESSIONS TOTAL OVER THE 8 WEEKS DUE TO THE mini-RETREAT.
